April 1, 1963	National Institute of Technology, Ariake College established with the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Chemistry. USHIO, Hiroe, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kumamoto University, appointed as the first President.
April 20	Opened at a temporary campus in Masunaga, Arao City.
October 23	Construction of the new campus began at the present site in Higashi-Hagio, Omuta City.
March 25, 1964	Dormitory (Wakaba Living House) completed.
March 31	Building for General Education and Administration Office Building completed.
March 17, 1965	Phase II construction completed (Electrical Engineering Building, Industrial Chemistry Building, Machine Shop, and Aoba Living House).
March 27, 1966	Phase III construction completed (Mechanical Engineering Building, Gymnasium, and Momiji Living House).
April 1	Administrative Bureau system introduced, with the General Affairs Division and the Accounting Division newly established.
October 11	Ceremony held to mark the completion of the campus buildings.
November 15, 1967	Kendo and Judo Hall completed.
April 1, 1968	Department of Architecture established.
September 1	HONDA, Toshio, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kumamoto University, appointed as the second President.
March 20, 1969	Architecture Building and Ginnan Living House completed.
April 1, 1970	Student Affairs Division newly established.
November 6	President HONDA, Toshio passed away. OHISHI, Toyojiro, Ministry of Education faculty member, appointed Acting President on the same date.
January 20, 1971	TODOROKI, Ichiro, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kumamoto University, appointed as the third President.
February 25, 1972	Library completed.
November 1, 1973	10th anniversary ceremony held.
March 30, 1974	Computer Room completed on the third floor of the Library.
March 9, 1976	Language Laboratory (L.L.) completed in the Building for General Education.
February 28, 1977	Integrated Training Center completed.
April 1, 1980	YOSHIMURA, Torazo, Professor of the Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University, appointed as the fourth President.
March 17, 1981	Gymnasium No. 2 completed.
March 30, 1982	Environmental Development Education and Research Facility (now the Research and Development Building) completed.
March 11, 1983	Student Welfare Facility (Shuko-Kan) completed.
October 29	20th anniversary ceremony held.
April 1, 1986	TAKEMURA, Tetsuo, Professor of the Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University, appointed as the fifth President.
April 1, 1989	Department of Electronics and Information Engineering established.
March 20, 1991	Electronics and Information Engineering Building completed.
April 2, 1992	TAKAMATSU, Yasuo, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University, appointed as the sixth President.
March 25, 1993	Women’s Dormitory (Sakura Living House) completed.
November 6	30th anniversary ceremony held.
April 1, 1994	Department of Industrial Chemistry reorganized into the Department of Chemistry and Materials Engineering.
March 22, 1996	Biology Building of the Department of Chemistry and Materials Engineering completed.
April 2, 1997	YAMAFUJI, Kaoru, former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University, appointed as the seventh President.
September 1	Regional Collaboration Promotion Center established.
April 1, 1999	Student Counseling Room established.
March 15, 2000	Building for General Education renovated; Joint Education Building and Building for Common Technical Course Education completed.
April 1, 2001	Advanced Engineering Course established, comprising the Advanced Production and Information Systems Engineering Course, the Advanced Chemical Science and Engineering Course, and the Advanced Architecture Course.

April 1, 2004	Following the repeal of the National School Establishment Act and the enforcement of the Act on the National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), National Institute of Technology, Ariake College became a national college of technology established by KOSEN.
June 17, 2005	International exchange agreement concluded with Liaoning Petrochemical University, China.
January 12, 2006	Collaboration and exchange agreement concluded with Omuta Hospital.
April 1	Multimedia Center established.
July 1	Career Support Office established.
July 19	Yu-Yu Information Office established.
March 23, 2007	Cooperation agreement concluded with the Omuta City Board of Education.

April 1	FUKUSHIMA, Takeo, former Executive Director of the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation, appointed as the tenth President.

April 1, 2017	The “Artificial Intelligence and Business Course (Kimura Information Technology)” opened through a donation from Kimura Information Technology Co., Ltd.

November 3	A clock tower was donated and installed in front of the main gate to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Yu-Yu Club alumni association.

April 1, 2021	Public Relations Office (Entrance Examination) established.
March 4, 2022	Sakura Living House rebuilt.

	Institutional Research for Teaching and Learning Office and Library Management Office established.
March 6, 2023	Ginnan Living House renovated.
March 31	Dining hall of the Taimei Dormitory rebuilt.
	The multipurpose space in the dining hall of the Taimei Dormitory named “Arataba.”
April 1	Collaborative education program launched between the Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University, and nine colleges of technology in the Kyushu-Okinawa region.
April 5	Shop in Shuko-Kan refurbished.
October 31	Cultural club rooms were donated by the Supporters’ Association to commemorate the 60th anniversary.
